Halal Catering for College Events Near Shoreline and Lynnwood
College clubs plan some of the best events of the year: cultural nights, end-of-quarter banquets, graduation celebrations, and fundraisers. They also face a tricky food problem. One room can hold students who eat Halal, vegetarians, people avoiding gluten, and a few who just want something filling. In May 2025, Caravan Kebab catered a college cultural night called “A Night Under the Eastern Moon,” and the buffet showed how one spread can work for everyone.

What Was on the Buffet
The line started with big bowls of Mediterranean salad: baby spinach, feta, olives, cherry tomatoes, and dried cranberries. Next came two trays of house-made hummus, one finished with olive oil, dill, olives, and tomatoes, and one dusted with paprika. Stacks of warm pita sat beside the spreads, followed by basmati rice and hot dishes kept warm in chafing pans. Every piece of meat was Halal certified, and the salads, spreads, and pita were all vegetarian, so guests could fill a plate without asking what was in each tray.

Planning Tips for Your Event Committee
- Lock in a headcount early. Student RSVPs can swing a lot. Give us your best estimate and update us as your event gets closer.
- Ask your guests about dietary needs. Halal, vegetarian, and gluten-free guests are easy to cover. Let us know about allergies too: our Persian salad includes pine nuts, and baklava is made with walnuts and almonds.
- Label the trays. A small card in front of each dish saves your volunteers from answering the same question all night.
- Plan the line. Put salads and spreads first and the hot dishes last, so plates fill up with lighter food before the curries and rice.
- Decide on pickup or delivery. Groups of about 15 to 20 people pick up at the restaurant. For large groups, we deliver.

A Simple Budget for Student Groups
Club budgets are usually tight, so a fixed price helps. Our Seven-Course Catering Package is $30 per person and includes beef curry, chicken kebab, dolmas, spanakopita, our famous Persian salad, baba ghanouj, and baklava. Want a different mix, like extra hummus and pita for a big crowd? Other dishes are priced separately, and Chef Shahzad is happy to build a menu around your event.
